How Does the Process Work?

Step #1 Quote

Let me know whether you want to go with the basic website or multi-page website package. Once we have figured out the structure, I will provide a quote.

Step #2 Deposit

Before commencing the project I require a 50% deposit, the images for your website, and some basic information such as your services, contact information, etc.

Step #3 Hosting and Domain

First, I’ll get you set up with a domain if you do not have one already, then I’ll take care of the hosting. If you already have a wordpress.org website and are happy with your current hosting plan/ domain then I can get started as soon as the installation details are provided.

Step #4 Build and Design

The next step is where I build and design your website. This includes the individual pages, content, SEO-optimisation and styling. Typically, this takes up to 7-days to complete but will vary depending on the scope of the website.

Step #5 Final Invoice

Once your website has been completed, the final invoice will then be issued (payment of the remaining 50% of the project fee) which must be paid within 14 days.

Are there any other costs involved?

The hosting costs for the first year are included in my website packages. After the first year, the cost of the hosting and SSL certificate is £100/ year. I also offer additional website maintenance packages which you can find more about here.

You will also need to pay for the domain name. This costs £5-£10 per year on average. I ask that all domain names are purchased by and registered to yourself because I consider these to be a business entity and I think you should own it rather than me. The same goes for any email account hosting that you may need.

What is a domain?

How do I get a domain?

Purchasing a domain name is very simple and will only take a few minutes to do. I can also guide you through the process over the phone but it really is just as simple as placing an online shopping order! It can then be set to “auto-renew” so you never have to worry about it again.

What is web hosting?

Website hosting is an online service which allows you to publish a website on the internet. Without a hosting plan, no one will be able to find or view your website.

What is an SSL certificate?

An SSL certificate authenticates a website’s identity and ensures that the connection is encrypted.
